Expert: An expert, more generally, is a person with extensive knowledge or ability based on research, experience, or occupation and in a particular area of study. Experts are called in for advice on their respective subject, but they do not always agree on the particulars of a field of study.
That means YOU are the expert. I am calling for you to define and write your stories for the Bippy Baby blog, and create a community of your woes, your successes and a place for moms to turn to in need.
Please feel free to submit any ideas or articles to bippydiapers@bippydiapers.com.

Why prefolds
By Kristie Martinez Nguyen
I'll admit it. I'm addicted to cloth diapers. I've built up quite a stash for my 15-month-old daughter, and my collection now includes more diapers than one baby really needs. But at the end of the day, I have to say I really love prefolds and covers. Here's why:
Inexpensive. I snagged two dozen infant prefolds online for our second baby, due Oct. 3, for $20 (shipping included!) I also found great deals on covers from Thirsties' online outlet (www.thirstiesoutlet.com), and have built up a great collection of covers through finds on craigslist, Diaper Swappers and even yard sales.
Absorbent & keep in leaks. I love how absorbent premium prefolds are. My daughter is a heavy wetter, so absorbency is key. Although I have some all-in-ones and pockets for going out and for the few days a week my daughter's in preschool, I find that prefolds and covers hold in leaks better than her other varieties of cloth diapers.
Easy to use. You can pin them, Snappi them or just lay them in the covers. For the longest time, I just tri-folded my daughter's prefolds, put them in her covers and snapped the whole thing on. I've read lots of articles about husbands who refused to cloth diaper because prefolds were too complicated. But I'm proud to say my husband — a man who loves shortcuts — is an expert at using prefolds and covers even developed his own way of Snappi-ing them on.
Easy to wash, dry and maintain. Covers, especially those with exposed PUL (the "wipe clean" kind), take virtually no time to dry, and my prefolds are always dry way ahead of my all-in-ones and pocket inserts. I hang everything on a drying rack. Once dry, the prefolds are already perfectly folded in half, so I just pick them up and put them in a large fabric bin. Any staining has always washed and sunned out.
Versatile. When my daughter was too small for her toddler prefolds, we used them as burp cloths and even blankets since she was so tiny (4 lbs, 11 oz. at birth!) And now that she's grown out of her infant prefolds, I use them as inserts and doublers in her pocket diapers, and will also use them for her little brother or sister.
